2018 financial goals – August update

Whoa, I thought I was only behind in my updates by a month or so… oops, how did 3 months get away from me?!?! Well, what can I say – things have drastically changed in my life, with a new chapter in my career and all… I’m loving it so much that all this financial stuff is taking a backseat… but that’s a good thing! So satisfying to feel fulfilled, inspired and absolutely content at work again… has changed my outlook entirely. I’ve said many, many times in the last few months – I feel like a different person now than I was just 6 months ago… anyhoo, let’s get on with it!

Got my long-awaited backpay this month, so lots to update!!

2018 financial goals – May update

It’s been a whirlwind here lately… I was offered – and I accepted – a new job (more to come on that), I left my old job and just last week, I started in my new position. New role, new office, new colleagues – super exciting, but also a little nerve-racking.

Now, on to our May finances!

For all you financial voyeurs out there, here are my answers!

2018 financial goals – April update

For the first time ever, I’m typing out a post sitting in a lawn chair in our front yard, enjoying a beautiful spring day (all that’s missing is a cold brew in my hand… seriously, why don’t I have a beer?? ‘KIDS, ONE OF YOU GET MAMA A BEER, WILL YA?!’)! The sun is shining, there’s the lightest of breezes, my daughter is at a birthday party, G and our middle son are playing ball at the park, our youngest is out here with me ‘watering out plants’ with his Super Soaker… Life is good. Our April finances were decidedly not good, but life is good. And really, what more can a girl ask for?!

2018 financial goals – March update

it’s April 19th and I’m just finally sitting down now to do my March update. Which pretty much sums up 2018 for me so far… I don’t know why, but I just can’t seem to get my shit together, especially on the financial end of things. But more on that in a future post… For now, let’s get to our March numbers!

2018 financial goals – February update

February is over and things are finally – and mercifully – starting to calm down a bit. Junior curling is over, and we’re nearing the end of G and I’s mixed league, the boys’ hockey and A’s ringette. I can’t wait to have some control over my time again. And I can’t wait to start posting more again. We’re also already looking ahead to summer holidays!

As far as our February expenses go, they look absolutely TERRIBLE. But hear me out cause it’s not quite as bad as it seems… Let’s have a look!
